Since getting herself tucked away at the Betty Ford Clinic, Lindsay Lohan has been trying out various crack schemes to get herself out of the joint. This is in spite of all of the happy-sober talk coming out of Shawn Chapman Holley and Dina Lohan, who both seem to think that whenever Lindsay goes into rehab, the detoxification process washes over her instantaneously and she’s “cured” within 24 hours. When Lindsay had to go back into court a few weeks ago, she even lied to the judge, claiming that she needed to be out of rehab so she could work and pay her bills, claiming poverty (PETA later volunteered to pay her bills). As it turns out, she was still managing to “work” just fine in rehab, and as for crying poverty… well, she’s still managing to shop, and she hasn’t had to hawk any of that jewelry she’s stolen throughout The Crack Years. Lindsay’s latest hustle is trying to convince the Betty Ford Clinic to give her a day-pass to meet with actors and producers for Inferno, the Linda Lovelace bio-pic that no one but Lohan wants to touch:
Lindsay Lohan is working on getting a “work pass” so that she can get out of rehab to discuss her next movie Inferno before her January 3 release date, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The Mean Girls star is currently staying at a sober living home close to The Betty Ford Clinic in Rancho Mirage, California where she has been receiving treatment in recent weeks. Inferno director Matthew Wilder has been in constant contact with Lohan during her rehabilitation.
Wilder told RadarOnline.com: “Lindsay is happy and I have been sending her some films starring several actors that we would like to cast alongside her in our movie. She just received them so we are still waiting for her feedback but we really want her to be part of the whole experience even although she is not physically here in Los Angeles.”
“Lindsay told me that she is working to get a work pass so that she can get out and meet us to discuss the project. Obviously, she would probably need some kind of monitor and I think that she feels cooped up sometimes which is understandable.”
Despite the ongoing struggles, Wilder says the actress “seems to be doing well” and is still “excited about Inferno.”
Lohan was sent back to rehab on October 22 by Judge Elden Fox and was ordered to stay in the rehab program until January 3, 2011.
If she successfully completes her treatment program and does not fail anymore random drugs test then Wilder and his producers are hoping to start filming Inferno as quickly as they can.

This bitch needs to be locked down, and have the key thrown in the river. She is something else. If they let her leave to do this, then there is a huge flaw in the justice system, and I personally think anyone, and any place (rehab and/or jail), that has been so lenient to Lindsay, needs to be seriously looked at, because perhaps something is wrong with all these judges, rehab clinics, jail, etc… who think Lindsay’s behavior is just fine, and only _____________ (feel free to fill in the blank with her punishment,) will be just fine for her. No wonder this crackhead feels she is entitled to whatever she wants. Not only is her mother her enabler but so are the judges, lawyers, police, jails, and rehabs centers that seem to bend the rules when it comes to Lindsay. It is nothing but pure BULLSHIT, and they all should be held accountable for their actions.

There has been no progress in her recovery. She was forced to detoxed.
And Lohan is still trying to hustle those people at Betty Ford. Whom seem so far to realize she has not cleaned up. She has not seen the light. And they know it too.

Sadly, Lohan is just counting the days on a calendar till she can get a drink.
Which means the chances of her OD’ing within 6 months of release… get alot higher.
She really needs to be at Hazelden in Minnesota.

Imagine, if you will, the type of people surrounding her on a movie shoot like this. It’s quasi-porn, a violent and utterly degrading role. So colour me obvious but there’s a good chance she’d be surrounded by some pretty scummy people just oozing booze and blow. Just sayin’….

@ NayNay – This is why I refer to it as the “legal system” and not the “justice system” – there is rarely justice, as far as I can tell, and I live in SoCal, so I see it first-hand all too often.

Just more of her trying to get out, which is funny, because wasn’t Dina just recently saying how much she loved it there? These people will never change. All we can hope is that they never hurt any innocent people along their way down.

I hope it doesn’t happen this movie is disgusting, with a very dark script that isn’t ideal for someone in recovery if she is serious about getting sober this time.

How is she focusing on her recovery if she’s going to the mall everyday & “in constant contact” with some hustler about a “movie” that will never get made outside of a $40 a night no-tell motel? She is not serious about getting sober & her bottoms will keep getting lower. No matter how bad it seems, there is always a trap door to fall further down if you aren’t minding your Ps & Qs.
You just want to believe at some point that common sense will prevail with her but sadly, it does ever seem that it ever will. And these people who are commenting that “she seems to be doing well” and “rehab is changing her” are just blowing smoke up everyone’s butts. I am SURE she is acting her way through all the appropriate reactions in rehab but to state it has “changed her?” Ummm little to soon to tell. Let’s see what happens on January 4th…

This makes me angry. There are some us out there who have loved ones with abuse problems, yet can’t afford extended rehab stays. I think I would bawl with joy for six straight months if I was capable of creating that situation, and this girl just throws it all away time after time.
Looks like she put on a bit of weight, which I totally approve of. Now will someone please make her quit dyeing her pretty red hair?

Am I the only one who doesn’t believe she is an addict? I honestly believe the only she uses drugs is because she wants to. She goes into rehab to keep her ass out of jail and that’s it. You can’t tell me she tricked the therapists at UCLA and is now living in a sober house so soon. There is a reason for it, she isn’t an addict she’s a spoiled brat.

Completely concur. I’m sure if they let her out for a “work pass”, they will drug test. If thats the case, the temptation will just be too much for a narcissist who like previous posters have said is not an addict, just a spoiled brat who wants to party when SHE wants to party. Fail that test and back to jail, please! That way no more photo ops going shopping, to jewelry stores, or the movies.

#25, I agree with you. As someone who has had family in this situation, her behavior doesn’t strike me as an addict in denial or otheriwse. She’s a narcissist (or something!!) through and through, and putting her in rehab will only serve to make her more dangerous.
This role is the last thing someone in recovery should be doing.
Can’t believe I agree with Innocent for once re Lilo. I don’t understand why she’s so hell-bent on making this movie. It does not sound like a healthy choice at all for someone in recovery. Or anyone, for that matter. It tells a deeply dark and disturbing story that really doesn’t need to be told again. She needs to just stay put in her little sober house in the burbs and go to her little meetings and STFU.
Lohan looks worse with every passing week. She was actually my inspiration for getting off Adderall; even though I never snorted or abused the medication, just looking at her frightened me enough to go cold turkey a month ago. I’m sure she’d be completely flattered.
What’s the point of getting halfway through filming with LiLo when you’ll just have to shut down and then try to replace her? He’d be wiser to look for someone totally different from the start. How about Tara Reid? She’s not busy and she’s not choosy.
